ACQUISITIONS OF COMPANIES AUTHORISED

The meeting of the Competition Council examined the notifications on concentration and passed the appropriate decisions on the issues examined.

1. The Competition Council resolved to authorise the concentration deal in accordance with the submitted notification. The notified deal concerns the acquisition by UAB Vilniaus senamiesčio vaistinė a 100 percent holding of UAB Medinsta engaged in the administration of premises leased for pharmacy activities. The intended concentration deal was assessed by the Competition Council as vertical and horizontal concentration in the relevant markets of trading in medicines and medical items and devices. The degree of concentration in the retail market of medicines and medical items and devices will change, as a result of the intended deal, to an insignificant degree, no dominant position will be created or strengthened as a result thereof, neither the deal will cause any limitations of competition in the relevant markets.

2. The Competition Council authorised Northrop Grumman Deutschland GmbH, Dutch Space B.V., EADS Deutschland GmbH, Galileo Avionica S.p.A., INDRA SISTEMAS Sociedad Anonima and Thales Systems Aéroportés to implement concentration by establishing a jointly controlled company TCAR Industries GmbH in accordance with the submitted notification. The decision was passed having established that the supposed concentration deal will not create or strengthen any dominant position or cause any lessening of competition in the relevant markets.
