ASSETS LEASE AND SHARE ACQUISITION PERMISSIONS ISSUED

1. The meeting of the Competition Council examined the notification filed by UAB E energija for the authorisation to implement concentration by leasing the assets of UAB Trakų šilumos tinklai and UAB Trakų šiluma. The institution passed the decision to authorise the concentration in question in accordance with the submitted notification.

The intended concentration was assessed by the Competition Council as replacing of a sole control exercised by one undertaking by a sole control to be exercised by another undertaking, without causing any change in the degree of concentration of market structures. Therefore the intended concentration will not result in strengthening of the dominant position in the market for centralised production and supply of heat and hot water.

2. The Competition Council passed a decision to authorise UAB Agrekas to implement concentration by acquiring up to 100 % shares of AB Kauno keliai in accordance with the submitted notification. It has been established that the intended concentration will not create or strengthen a dominant position and will not cause any significant lessening of competition in the relevant markets.

UAB Agrekas operates in the market for construction and sale of residential and commercial premises, as well the provision of hotel services. By acquiring UAB Kauno keliai engaged in the road building, maintenance and repair operations in Kaunas region UAB Agrekas seeks to start its operations in the road building and maintenance segment.
