COMPETITION CLOUNCIL CLEARS ACQUISITION OF 50 PER CENT OF BANGA PLIUS SHARES BY CATUS

On 23 July, the Competition Council cleared acquisition of 50 per cent of Banga plius shares by CATUS. The latter company together with Esama gained joint control of Banga plius.
Having evaluated all the circumstances related to the merger, the Council acknowledged that the intended merger will not create or strengthen the dominant position, or significantly restrict competition in the relevant market.
