COMPETITION COUNCIL ALLOWS UAB LUKOIL BALTIJA TO GAIN CONTROL OF 14 PETROL STATIONS

Having examined merger notifications by UAB Lukoil Baltija, the Competition Council (KT) allowed the latter company to gain control of 14 petrol stations.

UAB Lukoil Baltija is an oil trade company. The company is engaged in the retail and wholesale trade of oil products and branded lubricants, retail trade of commodities (including food products, tobacco and alcohol) and automotive products. UAB Lukoil Baltija provides services of consulting, marketing, franchise management and other services.

UAB Lukoil Baltija applied for KT’s clearance for the mergers fulfilling an obligation imposed on the company by the KT on 12 May 2014. The company was obligated to notify the mergers that had been implemented without the KT’s clearance.
