16 07 2014

On 16 July, the Competition Council (KT) cleared acquisition of 22 petrol stations (located in Palanga, Šilalė, Priekulė, Šeduva, Radviliškis, Trakai, Varėna, Vilnius, Šalčininkai, Kaunas, Prienai, Šakiai, Jurbarkas, Alytus, Kėdainiai, Lazdijai and Raseiniai) by JSC Baltic Petroleum.

JSC Baltic Petroleum is engaged in the retail trade of oil products (fuel) and the retail trade in non-specialised stores.

Having evaluated all the circumstances related to the merger, the KT acknowledged that the intended merger will not create or strengthen the dominant position, or significantly restrict competition in the relevant markets.
