COMPETITION COUNCIL CLEARS ACQUISITION OF 83 PERCENT OF JSC VITRAS-S SHARES BY AKTSIASELTS SKINEST RAIL

On 10 July, Competition Council (KT) cleared acquisition of 83 per cent of JSC Vitras-S shares by Aktsiaselts Skinest Rail.

AS Skinest Rail sells and rents wagons and locomotives. The company is also engaged in selling railway rolling stock spare parts.

JSC Vitras-S provides services of a railway construction, maintenance and rent.

 Having evaluated all the circumstances related to the merger, the KT acknowledged that the intended merger will not create or strengthen the dominant position, or significantly restrict competition in the relevant markets.
