COMPETITION COUNCIL CLEARS ACQUISITION OF BANK FINASTA AND FINANCE BROKERAGE FIRM FINASTA BY ŠIAULIŲ BANKAS

On 1 July, the Competition Council cleared acquisition of 100 per cent of the bank Finasta and 100 per cent of the finance brokerage firm Finasta shares by Šiaulių bankas.
Having evaluated all the circumstances related to the merger, the Council acknowledged that the intended merger will not create or strengthen the dominant position, or significantly restrict competition in the relevant market.
