COMPETITION COUNCIL CLEARS ACQUISITION OF INSURANCE COMPANY PZU LIETUVA SHARES BY GJENSIDIGE FORSIKRING ASA

On 7 April, the Competition Council cleared acquisition of 99.879 per cent of insurance company PZU Lietuva shares by Gjensidige Forsikring ASA.
Having evaluated all the circumstances related to the merger, the Council acknowledged that the intended merger will not create or strengthen the dominant position, or significantly restrict competition in the relevant market.
