COMPETITION COUNCIL CLEARS ACQUISITION OF JSC SBJ AS BY JSC BALTIC BICYCLE TRADE

On 25 July, the Competition Council (the KT) cleared acquisition of 100 per cent of JSC SBJ AS shares by JSC Baltic Bicycle Trade.

JSC Baltic Bicycle Trade sells bicycles, bicycle parts and accessories.

JSC SBJ AS controls JSC Baltik vairas. The company’s main economic activity is production and sales of electric bicycles on orders, brand bicycles, bicycle parts and accessories.

Having evaluated all the circumstances related to the merger, the KT acknowledged that the intended merger will not create or strengthen the dominant position, or significantly restrict competition in the relevant markets.
