COMPETITION COUNCIL CLEARS ACQUISITION OF UAB OFFICEDAY, SIA OFFICEDAY LATVIA AND SIA E-SAVE SHARES BY UAB SANITEX

On 18 September, the Competition Council (KT) cleared acquisition of UAB Officeday, SIA Officeday Latvia and SIA E-SAVE shares by UAB SANITEX.

UAB SANITEX is engaged in the retail and wholesale trade of commodities including various office supplies.

UAB Officeday is engaged in the retail and wholesale trade of office supplies. The company also provides related services.

SIA E-SAVE is an online shop of office supplies.

SIA Officeday Latvia sells office supplies.

Having evaluated all the circumstances related to the merger, the KT acknowledged that the intended merger will not create or strengthen the dominant position, or significantly restrict competition in the relevant markets.
