COMPETITION COUNCIL PERMITTED UAB LUKTARNA TO TAKE ON LEASE 73 FUEL STATIONS OWNED BY UAB LUKOIL BALTIJA

The Competition Council cleared a merger whereby UAB Luktarna took on lease 73 fuel stations owned by UAB Lukoil Baltija for five years, with possibility of extension. Having received the Competition Council‘s preliminary assessment, UAB Luktarna withdrew its intention to rent the remaining three fuel stations and, thus, avoided possible competition restrictions in the relevant markets in Anykščiai, Rokiškis and Vievis.

UAB Luktarna engages in retail and wholesale trade of oil and other products, and operates 40 fuel stations. UAB Lukoil Baltija engages in retail and wholesale trade of oil and other products.
