COMPETITION COUNCIL WILL COOPERATE WITH MYKOLAS ROMERIS UNIVERSITY
Competition Council (the Council) strengthens collaboration with academic community. On January 9, the Council signed a cooperation agreement with the Faculty of Social Technologies of Mykolas Romeris University.
The parties to the agreement have expressed commitment to organise, conduct and apply in practice scientific researches, participate in national and international projects.
“The priority of the Council is to promote competition policy through a dialogue with academic and business community as well as public administration bodies and, thus, ensure effective competition. The agreement with Mykolas Romeris University will enable the Council to more effectively and broadly disseminate information about the principles of competition, their importance to business, public sector and every consumer,” – says Šarūnas Keserauskas, the Chairman of the Council.
Collaboration between the two institutions is an opportunity for teachers and students at the Faculty of Social Technologies to apply science and study programs more effectively whilst for the Council’s administration it is an opportunity to implement results and findings of scientific research.
When carrying out investigations, the Council’s experts not only evaluate the legal and economic aspects of market functioning, but also examine all the circumstances related to a certain investigation: production, distribution, marketing, pricing and other aspects of business activity, therefore, collaboration with scientists specialising in various fields is truly significant.
The parties assumed an obligation to collaborate in organising conferences, seminars and discussions on the subjects related to science and practice.
While signing the agreement, possibilities to conclude collaboration agreements between other faculties of Mykolas Romeris University and the Council were also discussed.
