E. ŠATAS WILL CONTINUE TO WORK AT THE COMPETITION COUNCIL
Former Competition Council Member Elonas Šatas continues to work within the institution and starting 22 September of this year, he has taken on the role of Senior Advisor.
"Elonas is a high-competence expert in competition law, who has accumulated extensive professional experience, consistently sharing it both with his colleagues in their daily work and with the institution in implementing international projects in foreign countries. I am pleased that he has taken advantage of the opportunity provided by the State Service Law to restore his civil servant status and has made the decision to continue working at the Competition Council, strengthening the team of experts conducting investigations," said Jolanta Ivanauskienė, Chairwoman of the Competition Council.
From 2005 to 2011, E. Šatas led the institution's State Aid Department and the Legal and Competition Policy Department. From 2011 to 2023, he served two terms as a member of the Competition Council and held the position of Deputy Chairman. He holds a Master's degree in Law from Mykolas Romeris University.
