KT ALLOWS UAB NI PLĖTRA TO ACQUIRE 45 PER CENT OF UAB RYGOS PC SHARES AND TOGETHER WITH UAB ME HOLDING NT ACQUIRE JOINT CONTROL OVER UAB RYGOS PC

On 16 August 2013, the Competition Council (Konkurencijos taryba, KT) allowed UAB NI plėtra to acquire 45 per cent of UAB Rygos PC and together with UAB ME HOLDING NT acquire joint control over the undertaking concerned.

UAB NI plėtra and other related undertakings are engaged in business management, investment, real estate development and rent, etc.

UAB ME HOLDING NT and other related undertakings are engaged in business management, investment, real estate development and rent, provision of logistic services, etc.

UAB Rygos PC is engaged in real estate development and rent.

Having evaluated all the circumstances related to the merger, the KT acknowledged that the intended merger will not create or strengthen the dominant position, or significantly restrict competition in the relevant markets.
