PERMISSIONS FOR CONCENTRATION ISSUED

The Competition Council examined the notifications submitted by undertakings concerning concentration permissions and passed resolutions to that effect.

1. A decision was passed to permit UAB Armedikos vaistinė to imlpement concentration by acquiring up to 100% of interest of the pharmacy UAB Šilutės vaistinė in accordance with the submitted notification. It has been established that the notified concentration will not result in a creation or strengthening of a dominant position, or a significant lessening of competition in the market for retail trade in medicines and medical appliances and equipment.

2. The Competition Council decided to authorise UAB Litagros chemija to implement concentration by acquiring up to 26% of all the divvies of Padovinys agricultural enterprise in accordance with the submitted notification. This concentration has been assessed as conglomerate with features of vertical concentration in the relevant markets, which, however, will not affect the level of concentration or cause a creation or strengthening of a dominant position or a significant lessening of concentration in the relevant markets.
