THE CHAIRMAN OF THE COMPETITION COUNCIL SHARED HIS EXPERIENCE ON INSTITUTIONAL DESIGN IN THE ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION

On 9 April 2013, the chairman of the Competition Council (Konkurencijos taryba) Šarūnas Keserauskas together with representatives of competition authorities from all over the world participated in the Roundtable Discussion on Institutional Design organized by the Federal Trade Commission (USA, Washington).

Šarūnas Keserauskas shared his experience related to the design and structure of Konkurencijos taryba, as well as showed his interest in other agencies’ recent experiences in combining or separating competition enforcement and consumer protection, regulatory, or other responsibilities. The participants of the event also considered the benefits and challenges that arise in connection with changing an agency’s mandate.
