THE CHAIRMAN OF THE KT MET WITH THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA

On 21 May 2013, the chairman of the Competition Council (Konkurencijos taryba, KT) met with the President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė to discuss the Annual report of 2012 and current issues of the KT’s activity, including the role of the institution when strengthening the competition in the energy sector.

“According to the president, the KT became more active and more professional, the fight with the monopoly abuse and illegal agreements has been strengthened and tangible results are seen. The KT conducts investigations relevant to consumers and imposes stricter financial sanctions on the infringers.” – writes the Press Service of the President.
