THE COMPETITION COUNCIL ISSUED THE PERMISSION TO AB „ALNA“ AND „AS MICROLINK“ TO ESTABLISH A NEW JOINT VENTURE

The meeting of the Competition Council adopted a decision to issue a permission to AB ALNA and AS MICROLINK to effect concentration by establishing a new joint venture DOCLOGIX SOFTWARE, in accordance with the submitted notification. Both companies participating in the merger will acquire a 50 percent holding.

The Competition Council established that the intended merger will not create or strengthen a dominant position and will not cause a substantial restriction of competition in the relevant market.

In their notification AB ALNA and AS MICROLINK registered in Estonia indicated that the new company is established with a view to developing a specific product - a computer-based data management program. Currently the two companies have developed and are engaged in distribution of proprietary data management programs, following the merger transaction the tasks will be transferred to the new joint venture.
