The Lithuanian competition authority Konkurencijos taryba cleared the acquisition of 100 per cent and sole control of UAB Keturi kambariai which manages the coffehouse chain Caffeine by the Norwegian company Reitan Convenience .

The Lithuanian competition authority Konkurencijos taryba cleared the acquisition of joint control of Freor LT by the Latvian investment fund EuVECA Livonia Partners Fund I together with Rytis Bernatonis.
On August 23 the Competition Council cleared the merger whereby the Latvian company AS EuVECA Livonia Partners and the Estonian company AS LHV Varahaldus indirectly through Silver Screen Holdings UAB acquired 34,8 per cent of UAB Cgates Group shares and joint control together with the Estonian companies OÜ Polaris Invest and OÜ Com Holding .

The Competition Council found that having acquired about 51 per cent of Vievio paukštynas shares and gained control over the company, Kauno grūdai implemented unnotified merger. For the infringement of the Law on Competition, the Council fined Kauno grūdai EUR 947,700.
March 20 marked the end of the EU Twinning Project on building the administrative capacities of the Egyptian Competition Authority (ECA). The Lithuanian Competition Council participated in the 2-year-long project together with the German Competition Authority.

On 6 May 2016, the Competition Council (hereinafter – KT) prohibited a merger whereby in 2014 AS Eesti Meedia acquired 100 per cent of AllePAL OÜ shares. KT found that the merger restricted competition in the Lithuanian markets of classified ads for real estate and vehicles.

On 15 October, Competition Council (further - the Council) prohibited acquisition of 100 per cent of Maltosa shares by Viking Malt Oy . The Council found that the merger will restrict competition in the market of pilsen malt production.
