The Lithuanian competition authority Konkurencijos taryba cleared the acquisition of 100 per cent and sole control of the Estonian insurance company Seesam Insurance by the Austrian company VIENNA INSURANCE GROUP AG Wiener Versicherung Gruppe (VIG).
The Lithuanian competition authority Konkurencijos taryba has cleared the acquisition of 100 per cent of the shares of UAB Nacionalinis bilietų platintojas by the Estonian company Baltic Ticket Holdings .
The Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania (Court) satisfied the appeal of the Competition Council and annulled the ruling of Vilnius Regional Administrative Court, according to which the Council was obliged to conduct an additional investigation regarding the merger of the Estonian managers of classified ads.
Having considered the amendments to the Law on Competition (Law), the Council revised merger notification and examination procedure, which takes into force from January 1, 2018.
